Royal Enfield plans 18 new launches

Royal Enfield is preparing for a major expansion with plans to launch 18 motorcycles across multiple segments in FY 2027. The company will introduce 5 new bikes while 13 existing models will get major updates. Royal Enfield is also focusing on motorcycles with bigger engines to strengthen its premium lineup. The brand recently crossed 12 lakh annual sales and aims to further expand its presence in India and global markets.
Strategic growth through new high-performance motorcycles
The manufacturer plans to enter the high-performance segment with new 750cc engine motorcycles. These upcoming models include Himalayan 750 and this Continental GT750 For premium buyers. Additionally, the brand will launch Himalaya 440Scrum 450, and bullet 650 Soon. The move allows the company to provide better upgrade options to its loyal fan base. As a result, the brand will have greater power to compete in both local and international markets.
Upgrade for middleweight segment
Thirteen existing bikes in the 350cc to 450cc range will also receive significant updates. This decision helps the company to stay ahead of its competitors jubilation, HondaAnd Harley Davidson. These competitors are aggressively releasing new products to capture more market share in India. Therefore, it is necessary to update the current portfolio to maintain the high sales volume of the brand. The company recently achieved record sales of over 12 lakh units in the last financial year.
Future potential and employment goals
The new plant will increase the total annual production capacity by 9 lakh units. However, construction will take place in two phases ending in 2029 and 2032. This expansion will eventually create 5,000 new jobs for people in the local area. Currently, the company can produce around 15 lakh motorcycles every year at its plants. The brand has set a production target of 13.20 lakh units for the next financial year.
The company is focusing on higher capacity engines to honor its historical roots. For example, the original Interceptor used a 750cc engine several decades ago. The brand also mass-produced V-twin engines during World War I. Hence, moving back into the 750cc space is a natural step for the brand. This strategy ensures that the company remains the top choice for mid-sized motorcycle buyers globally.
