Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturers winfast has patented the design of a new electric scooter in India. This latest move shows that the company is getting ready to enter the Indian electric two-wheeler market. Earlier, VinFast had announced its plans to launch around three electric scooters in India during the second half of 2026.
The scooter shown in the patent is exactly similar winfast wiperWhich is already available in international markets. However, some design changes suggest that this could be an updated version for future markets.
The patented scooter shares its overall shape with the VinFast Viper. However, it has a slightly different headlamp design which gives it a fresh look. Apart from this change, the scooter retains its clean and modern design which is suitable for everyday urban riding.
Perhaps Vinfast has made these updates to give the scooter a unique identity before launching it in India. More details are expected as the launch date gets closer.
Internationally, VinFast Viper is offered a battery And two-battery Variant.

As of now, VinFast has not confirmed which version it will launch in India. However, the company may opt for a single-battery model to keep the price more affordable.
When launched, this scooter will compete with popular electric scooters anther, Ola Electric, Bajaj ChetakAnd TVS iQube. Additionally, Vinfast will need to build a strong sales and service network across the country to attract Indian buyers.
