The prototype appears to use a 19-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel setup. This combination generally helps in a stable ride on highways and rough roads. However, the version shown earlier at EICMA had tubeless wire spoke wheels. Hence, the India spec version may use alloy wheels instead.
Earlier test bikes in India were also seen with alloy wheels. This change may help TVS Motor Company manage production costs for the model.
The Norton Atlas will be powered by a 585cc liquid-cooled parallel twin engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. The engine can produce around 70bhp. Additionally, the motorcycle is expected to include an 8-inch TFT display with connectivity features.
Apart from this, riding mode, traction control and cruise control may be offered in the bike. These features will support a comfortable ride on long journeys.
The Atlas will be produced at TVS Motor Company’s Hosur manufacturing facility. He will also build the plant TVS Apache RTX 300 and this BMW F 450 GS.
Earlier reports had suggested that the motorcycle could be launched by mid-2026. However, changes in production plans may push the launch to late 2026. The company may confirm the final launch timeline in the coming months.
