The biggest difference comes from the missing HyperSense radar package. This advanced rider assistance system offers features like blind-spot detection, rear collision warning, lane-change assist and overtake alert.
Perhaps some riders will not need these additional electronic aids for daily travel. Furthermore, removing the radar setup helps the company reduce the overall price without affecting the core performance of the motorcycle.
Although the radar system is absent, the motorcycle still offers several premium features. Riders will continue to get Glide, Combat and Ballistic riding modes for different road conditions.
Additionally, the bike includes traction control, dual-channel ABS, dynamic stability control, hill-hold assist and regenerative braking levels. The motorcycle also supports smartphone connectivity and Type-C charging.
Additionally, the Ultraviolette also offers TPMS, Park Assist, Violet AI connectivity, and even a built-in dashcam module. These features make the X-47 one of the most tech-packed electric motorcycles in India.
The new X-47 uses the same 27kW electric motor as the higher variants. It produces 36.2 hp and delivers 550 Nm of wheel torque. As a result, the electric motorcycle accelerates from 0-60 kmph in just 2.8 seconds. Furthermore, the claimed top speed is 145 kmph.
The motorcycle also uses a 7.1kWh battery pack with a claimed IDC range of 211 km. Hence, riders can manage city rides and weekend trips comfortably.
The launch brings the total X-47 lineup to six variants. Prices start from Rs. 2.49 lakh and go up to Rs. ₹4.59 lakh for the Desert Wing variant. Meanwhile, Ultraviolette also offers an optional Boost Charger for faster charging support. The battery pack comes with a standard warranty of 3 years or 60,000 km. Buyers can also extend the coverage to 5 years or 1 lakh kilometres.
