TVS Apache RTX 300 launched

The new TVS Apache RTX 300 has finally gone on sale in India at a starting price of Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This is TVS’s first adventure tourer bike, which competes with the Royal Enfield Scram 440, KTM 250 Adventure and Yezdi Adventure.

brand new platform

Built on the all-new next-gen TVS RT-XD4 engine platform, the motorcycle is claimed to offer “a blend of race-oriented performance with long-tour comfort, redefining the modern adventure motorcycle.” This platform benefits from four dual technologies – dual overhead cam with downdraft port, dual oil pump with split chamber crankcase, dual cooling jacket cylinder head with water jacket and dual breather system.

Engine and Specifications

Starting with the engine. The TVS Apache RTX 300 uses a 299.1cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC engine, which generates 36PS of maximum power at 9,000rpm and 28.5Nm of torque at 7,000rpm. This 4-stroke motor is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and an assist-and-slipper clutch. The new TVS adventure bike offers four ride modes – Urban, Rain, Tour and Rally.

The suspension setup consists of an inverted cartridge fork at the front and a mono-tube with floating piston (MFP) at the rear. Designed on a lightweight steel trellis frame, the bike ensures structural efficiency with superb dynamic response. It offers a low seat height for better control, better power-to-weight ratio and easier maneuverability across terrains.

color options

The new TVS Apache RTX 300 comes in five color options – Pearl White, Viper Green, Lighting Black, Metallic Blue and Tarn Bronze. These shades are complimented by matte texture, gloss contrast with fine details and signature Apache Red highlights.

design features

The new TVS adventure bike features rally-inspired ergonomics along with ‘eye-shaped’ LED headlamps, LED turn indicators, muscular fuel tank, a transparent windscreen and a beak-like projection at the front.

On the feature front, the Apache RTX 300 offers a full-color TFT display that offers details like call and SMS alerts, speed, GoPro control, segment-first map mirroring and more. The bike also gets traction control (two modes), ABS modes (Rally, Urban and Rain), tire pressure monitoring system and cruise control.
