TVS achieved the milestone of 10 lakh electric

TVS Motor Company has reached a major position in India’s electric two-wheeler market. The company has crossed 10 lakh cumulative electric vehicle sales, registering steady growth since entering the segment in 2020. TVS Electric two-wheelers are currently leading the market with about 25 percent share recorded in May 2026. Increasing customer interest and wide availability have supported this growth. Furthermore, the company is expected to achieve another huge sales record during 2026.

TVS reaches 10 lakh EV sales milestone

TVS entered electric two wheeler With the launch of the segment in January 2020 iCube Scooter. However, sales remained limited in the initial phase as availability was limited to select cities. The company gradually expanded its reach across the country. Therefore, the sales numbers started increasing at a fast pace every year.

After this the development became very rapid. The company added another four million units within seventeen months. Furthermore, sales increased further between October and December 2025, when an additional one lakh units were sold in just three months.

TVS leads the electric two-wheeler market

TVS achieves milestone of 10 lakh cumulative EV sales during 2026. Additionally, the company recorded its highest-ever monthly EV sales of 51,605 units in May 2026.

This figure is one of the highest monthly electric two-wheeler sales ever recorded in India. Additionally, TVS has retained its position as the country’s leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer from April 2025.

The company’s market share is expected to increase from about one percent in 2020 to more than twenty percent by 2023. Hence, TVS emerges as the segment leader with annual EV sales of 3,15,083 units during 2025.

Sales of half a million EVs possible in 2026

TVS has already sold 2,19,232 electric scooters during 2026. This number is equivalent to approximately seventy percent of total EV sales achieved in 2025.

Additionally, the festive season is still on the horizon, which could support higher demand in the coming months. Therefore, TVS can achieve sales of five lakh electric scooters within a year.

Industry sales are also continuously increasing across the country. Therefore, annual electric two-wheeler sales in India may cross the 20 lakh mark for the first time during 2026.
