Bajaj Auto is all set to launch the new Chetak electric scooter on January 14, 2026. The updated model will receive subtle design changes and feature upgrades while retaining the existing battery options. The 2026 Bajaj Chetak will feature a redesigned horizontal LED taillamp in place of the existing split setup unit. Some more cosmetic changes are expected.
Variants and battery options
Similar to the existing lineup, the new 2026 Bajaj Chetak is expected to come with two battery pack options – 3kWh and 3.5kWh – offering a claimed range of up to 127 km and 153 km respectively.
Currently, the Chetak lineup comprises four variants – 3001, 3503, 3502 and 3501 – priced between Rs 99,990, Rs 1.02-1.05 lakh, Rs 1.20 lakh – Rs 1.22 lakh and Rs 1.25 lakh – Rs 1.27 lakh respectively. While the entry-level 3001 variant offers a top speed of 63 kmph, the remaining three variants are capable of delivering a top speed of 73 kmph.

Premium features like touchscreen TFT dash, smartphone connectivity, sequential blinkers and front disc brake are reserved for the top-end variants. The base variant is equipped with a basic dash, a simple LCD, hill hold, reverse mode and drum brakes. The electric scooter offers multiple riding modes – Eco and Sport with TecPac.
