The RC 160 is a 164.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is also seen in the 160 Duke. This motor produces approximately 18.7 bhp at 9,500 rpm and 15.5 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and is equipped with assist and slipper clutch. KTM claims a top speed of 118 kmph, making it one of the fastest motorcycles in its segment.
Hardware and Features
The RC 160 is built around a trellis frame and is equipped with 37 mm upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock. It has a 320 mm front disc and 230 mm rear disc, supported by dual-channel ABS with Supermoto mode. The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, which provide stability and confidence.
Additionally, the motorcycle features full LED lighting and an LCD instrument cluster. Although it doesn’t get a TFT display like the updated 160 Duke, the TA variant adds navigation support, which adds to the everyday usability.
price and competitors
The KTM RC 160, priced at Rs 1.85 lakh, costs about Rs 15,000 more than this. 160 duke And about Rs 19,000 more than its main rival Yamaha R15. However, the KTM justifies the premium with its big bike styling, strong hardware and sporty character.
