Is Ather Rizta Z worth buying?
The 2.9kWh battery pack offers an estimated IDC range of around 123 km. However, real-world riding conditions usually provide a slightly lower figure. In everyday urban riding, the scooter can offer a useful range of around 105 km.
Charging remains quite convenient for daily users. The home charger can charge the battery from zero to eighty percent in approximately six hours and thirty minutes. Additionally, it takes about two more hours to fully charge.
Large TFT display and smart features
The base S variant uses a simple color LCD display with basic Bluetooth connectivity. However, the Z variant offers a larger 7-inch color TFT touchscreen. This screen supports multiple connected features for everyday use. For example, riders can access Google Maps navigation directly on the display. Additionally, the dashboard shows WhatsApp message previews and other notifications.
The scooter also connects to the Ather mobile application via Bluetooth. Additionally, the Z variant includes Magic Twist Regenerative Braking and Traction Control for enhanced safety and control.
Price and position in the Rizta lineup
The Ather Rizta Z 2.9kWh is currently priced at around Rs 1.35 lakh ex-showroom. This price puts it above the S variant but below the bigger battery Z variant. Hence, the scooter offers a balanced mix of range, performance and features.
