Yamaha launches EC-06 electric

Yamaha EC-06 Equipped with an IPMSM electric motor paired with a fixed 4 kWh battery pack. This setup produces a maximum power of 6.7 kW and torque of 26 Nm. The top speed of the scooter is 79 kmph, which is suitable for city roads and urban traffic.

On a full charge, the EC-06 offers a certified range of 169 km. Furthermore, charging can be done using a regular household socket and a full charge takes around eight hours. Yamaha is offering a battery warranty of 3 years or 30,000 km, which should help new EV buyers feel more confident.

Ride Mode, Brakes and Suspension

To suit different riding conditions, YAMAHA The EC-06 has three riding modes: Eco, Standard and Power. It also has a reverse mode, making it easier to maneuver the scooter in tight parking spaces.

Features, storage and build quality

The EC-06 comes with a color LCD display that shows speed, battery level, range and riding mode. It also supports smartphone connectivity through the Yamaha Motor Connect R app. All the lights on the scooter are LED units.

For daily use, Yamaha has provided 24.5 liters of under-seat storage. The motor and battery are IP67 rated, while other electronic parts are IP65 rated. This helps the scooter deal with rain, water splashes and dusty roads.
